Abstract
Ordinarily when we think about courtroom trials in law school, we think about courses like Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure, Pre-Trial Practice, and Trial Practice. This presentation discusses the relevance of the First Amendment to trials, especially as to access to trials. Presumptively open trials serve many purposes according to the First Amendment as will be explained in this presentation. This YouTube Channel is designed to provide my students supplemental instruction, as I teach them remotely. I want them to "take a soak" in the law and not a quick shower. This Channel is also designed to provide learning to the broader community. Learning can lead to enlightenment, and enlightenment to justice...or, at least, to a taste of justice.
